WomenA lehenga or a saree are the two most common options:- A lehenga is a 2-piece outfit that includes a top with a full, high-waisted skirt.- A saree is a long piece of fabric, often made of silk, that is wrapped around the body. A blouse and slip (petticoat) are worn underneath (typically cropped but does not have to be).- Flowy Anarkali suits or embroidered kurtas are also fun options. You can also opt for an Indo-Western gown with Indian-inspired details ALSOIf you have never worn a saree, they can be tricky to put on. Pre-draped/ pre-pleated sarees are an option as well. Lehengas can get heavy quickly. Look for organza or other light fabrics without too much embellishment.
